A couple of notes while waiting for The Battleship (Giants' 275-pound quarterback Jared Lorenzen) to dock in New England and out The Bachelor (Jesse Palmer) from the third quarterback spot on the Giants depth chart.

There definitely has been interest expressed in both Peter Warrick and Peerless Price (released by the Bengals and Falcons respectively).

A media source told me today that the Pats tried to swing a trade for Warrick last week. Given that they ultimately traded for a receiver with return skills (Andre Davis) it sounds plausible.

It also sounds like the Bengals screwed up if they turned down a trade, given the fact they cut him soon after and got zip in return.

As for Price, the Pats are kicking the tires on him as well.

Calls are in to Warrick's agent (Drew Rosenhaus) and Price's (Tim MCGee) and also we're touching base with Rohan Davey's agent to see where Ro might go.
