Hey all --
The Patriots announced this evening that they released wide receiver Jonathan Smith from the 53-man roster and released quarterback J.T. O'Sullivan from the practice squad.
Smith, signed at the start of the regular season after being waived by Buffalo, came on as a sub Sunday against the Bengals but did not have a catch.
O'Sullivan had been on four teams before coming to New England, with just one NFL appearance.
The team did not announce who will now take the 53rd spot on the roster.
New England's practice squad is down to six players with O'Sullivan's waiving and Antwain Spann being signed off the squad before Sunday's game.
