Depleted secondary

The Patriots have announced that CB Asante Samuel (knee) and S Eugene Wilson (hamstring) did not make the trip to Green Bay with the team. Both players were listed as questionable on the team's injury report.

This is the fourth straight game and sixth out of the last seven that Wilson will miss; though Artrell Hawkins initially stepped into his starting spot alongside Rodney Harrison, Harrison's shoulder injury has kept him out of last week's game and tomorrow's. Veteran corner Chad Scott has slid back to safety with Hawkins.

But now with Samuel on the shelf, it's possible Scott could see time at corner again, with James Sanders, Rashad Baker, or even Don Davis back at safety. Davis has played some safety in the past for the Pats.

At any rate, the secondary, which started this season with some depth, is once again depleted.
