The Patriots are indeed installing FieldTurf at Gillette Stadium, and work has already begun. Earlier reports from the NFL that it was against league rules to switch from natural grass to synthetic or vice-versa aren't true, according to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello.

Sources say the new field could be completely done by Monday.
