The City Council of Huntington, W. Va. voted on Monday to name a street in honor of longtime resident and beloved Patriot Troy Brown.

A section of 16th Street Road will be renamed Troy Brown way.

Though Brown was raised in South Carolina, he became a star at Marshall and has remained in West Virginia. He is active in several Huntington community organizations and will once again hold his football camp at Marshall in April.

Well deserved. A Class act football player that loves the game. Glad he was a New England Patriot.
Resect, Much Love Troy!

Been saying even since pre-Brady, that the Patriots should have a bronze statue of Troy Brown placed at their entrance. He's been the little engine that could and has so much to do with the Patriots success. Like Brady he was hardly a first round pick, yet look what he has achieved through toughness and diligence. He was very instrumental in helping take the Patriots from the bush-league status they had to the ultimate pro's they have become. I've never seen the guy toot his own horn either.
Art - toot his own horn? Just the opposite. Last year when the team unveiled that glass statue of Troy and Brady after Troy set the franchise receptions record, he looked for all the world like he wanted to disappear into the wall. I talked to him about it and he admitted to hating all the fuss that was being made. A class guy and as you said, a football player made with grit and hard work. - smy

Enough praise cannot be given to Troy Brown! He epitomizes what a football player should be...on and off the field. It is a pleasure to see him play. I would have love to see him on the field in the superbowl against the giants...who knows some magic might have taken place. Troy is the best, and if all turns out well, maybe we can see him back with the Pats next year!
