Click the play button below to hear Shalise Manza Young's comments, recorded this morning. The topics: the spectre of last season, Lamont Jordan, Richard Seymour and what Brett Favre would do for the Jets.
Here's what Shalise had to say about Lamont Jordan, and whether his arrival means competition for Sammy Morris:
"That is my first thought, that he will be competing with Sammy. But at the same time, Lamont is actually versatile enough -- Sammy is not known as much as a pass catcher as Lamont Jordan is. The first year that he was in Oakland, in 2005, Lamont Jordan had 70 receptions, which is a fantastic number for a running back. I think Lamont could both spell Laurence Maroney, which does put him in competition with Sammy Morris, but he could also back up Kevin Faulk, who's been known in recent years as their third-down back exclusively, has done a great job in that. But if something happens to one of those two guys, then I think Lamont Jordan could step in and handle either of those roles."
