The Houston Texans released 21 players in advance of tomorrow's 53-man deadline, and a familiar name is among them:
Rosevelt Colvin.
Released by the Patriots in February in part because of his salary cap number (around $5.6 million for 2008) and in part a leg injury (believed to be a ruptured Achilles), Colvin was signed by Houston in June.
The soon-to-be 31-year old won two Super Bowl rings with New England.
Former UMass star Marcell Shipp was also among the Texans' cuts.
