In the days before New England's preseason opener against Baltimore, Bill Belichick made it abundantly clear that the Patriots would not be using the new defensive helmet radio system. In fact, Belichick sounded as though he couldn't care less.
But as we looked on the field during the Eagles' previous possession, we noticed a small green dot on the back of Tedy Bruschi's helmet. So clearly the Pats have found a way to integrate it and put it to use.
Why would they not use it? Seems like an advantage BB would like to utilize. As long as you have your hand signals down, having that headset communication can only help verify the proper play call.
