With the threat of rain in the area, the Patriots moved today's practice session inside the Dana-Farber Fieldhouse. In the good news arena, three players have been removed from the physically unable to perform list: WR Wes Welker, CB Ellis Hobbs and rookie LB Ro Ruud. Welker promptly fielded the first punt of the session. Rookie LB Vince Redd has returned to the field, but is wearing a red no-contact jersey. Missing from today's practice: CB Jason Webster, S James Sanders, RB Kyle Eckel, T Ryan O'Callaghan, T Matt Light and TE David Thomas. In the not-so-good news category, T Anthony Clement was placed on season-ending injured reserve; to take his place, New England signed OL Barry Stokes. Stokes, a 34-year old who has seen game time with the Dolphins, Packers, Browns, Falcons and Lions. He was with Detroit last year but did not play in a game. |
