Former Patriots wide receiver Chad Jackson worked out with the Miami Dolphins today, and is awaiting word from the team and his agent about whether he will be signed, according to the Miami Herald.

If he is signed, the Herald reports, Jackson still will not be in action for Miami's season opener against the Jets.
