FOXBORO --The Patriots weren't the only ones to lose their starting quarterback Sunday.
The Chiefs' Brodie Croyle had to leave the game after the first series of the second half when he was sacked by Adalius Thomas and injured his right shoulder.
"It's his throwing shoulder," coach Herman Edwards said. "Obviously, we hope he gets back. We hope Tom Brady gets back, too. I don't know what his injury is, but I hate to see quarterbacks go down like that.
"You hate to lose good players to injury -- especially marquee players. It's not a lot fun at all for anybody."
