New England is in the midst of their final practice of the week, again in shells and shorts.

DL Le Kevin Smith returned to practice for the first time since Aug. 11, which meant that there were only four players not on the field:

RB Kevin Faulk (suspended)
C Dan Connolly
TE Benjamin Watson
WR Sam Aiken
