No one is saying what's happening next for Troy Brown.

Earlier this week, Brown said "we'll see" when asked if he was done playing football. There were rumors that he would be announcing his retirement on a local television show, but Brown canceled his appearance.

Today, Robert Kraft was asked about Brown, and what might be next for him. Kraft and Brown had lunch together on Thursday.

"Troy Brown is the prototype of what I'd like every Patriot to be. ...We'll see what happens. We and our fans, I'm so happy he didn't go to another team," Kraft said.

Someone told me on Friday that Brown would be making an announcement next week, though they didn't specify what kind of announcement it would be. Speculation is that Brown may either go into television work or get a job within the Patriots' organization.
