Click the play button below to hear Shalise Manza Young's comments, recorded this morning. The topics: Matt Cassel's challenge to get off to a good start, the status of Randy Moss and Jabar Gaffney, whether the Patriots surprise everyone and go with an aggressive attack, and the challenge to the Patriots secondary posed by Brett Favre and Jerricho Cotchery.
Here's what Shalise said about Cassel's opening challenge:
"He said yesterday he hopes not to have butterflies, but there's a big difference between {starting and] coming in unexpectedly -- as he did last week and as he has done in other situations in the past. The adrenaline's pumping and you get so excited that you're getting a chance to play; you're thrown into a situation that kind of overrides the butterflies a little bit. But in this situation, he's had a week to think about it. It is his first start, as everybody knows, since 1999, when he was at Chatsworth High School. If he can keep the nerves under control, if everything's going good and they get the ball first and can put some points up on the board, then certainly I think that can go a long way toward taking the crowd out of the game and hopefully just settling him down."
