We are in the media workroom at Gillette Stadium, where all-time Patriot great Troy Brown is set to announce his retirement in a 10 a.m. press conference with Bill Belichick and Bob Kraft.
Brown's wife, Kimberly, and their sons, Sir'Mon and SaanJay are here in the front row, with the young boys wondering why their mother is looking for Kleenex. The boys don't quite understand why their father can't play football anymore.
The screen Belichick usually stands in front of is showing a slide show of various moments from Brown's career with New England -- including him wearing a uniform number other than 80 (bonus points if you can remember that he did briefly wear another number and what it was).
To the right of the screen is a dais and a table and chairs, where Brown, Belichick and Kraft will sit.
To the left is an easel, but the item on the easel is being covered by a Pats' flag, and there are action photos of Brown on the walls around the room.
There are eight television cameras and five still photographers ready to capture the proceedings.
