Wednesday practice peek

The Patriots are holding practice on the lower field behind Gillette Stadium currently and are in full pads.

DB Brandon Meriweather returned to the field today for the first time since being injured against Tampa Bay on Aug. 17. After not being spotted Monday, WR Jabar Gaffney returned as well.

As for who was not on the field, the list otherwise remains the same:

RB Kevin Faulk (suspended)
C Dan Connolly
TE Benjamin Watson
WR Sam Aiken
DL Le Kevin Smith
