« Football Today -- Patriots in 'statistical free fall'? |

| Friday at Gillette -- casual Friday »
The Patriots are on the windy upper practice fields behind Gillette Stadium, going through their final session before they board the plane later this afternoon for San Francisco. For the media portion, we saw the players do extra sprints the width of the field and then they went right into special teams work before we were booted. They were in shells and shorts/sweatpants. Wes Welker, who was listed as being limited yesterday with a groin injury, was on the field and participating in the drills we were present for. So that left the usual three players missing: LB Eric Alexander, CB Lewis Sanders and WR Kelley Washington. |
