FOXBORO -- It was an emotional New England team that took the field last night against Denver, and then proceeded to take it to the Broncos for four quarters.
"There was a lot of energy out there tonight," linebacker Tedy Bruschi said. "We can out energetic and with a lot of emotion. We wanted to come out and have some fun."
It wasn't much fun for the Broncos, who absorbed a 41-7 pasting at the hands of the Pats.
"I liked the emotion we played with tonight," said free safety James Sanders, who intercepted a pass in the second half -- one of five turnovers (three fumbles, two interceptions) created by the New England defense, which had just six turnovers in the first five games of the season
"We were celebrating with our teammates," Sanders said, "and flying around making plays on both sides of the ball. That's what we need to do as a team to be successful."
