SAN DIEGO -- Although the Patriots spent the week practicing at San Jose State, rather than flying back to Foxboro after last Sunday's win at San Francisco, they said it didn't hurt their preparation for the Chargers.

"I thought it was good," coach Bill Belichick said.

So did veteran safety Rodney Harrison.

"That had nothing to do with it," he said of the decision to remain on the West Coast. "We had a great week. We had no six-hour flight home. We had no six-hour flight back. That had nothing to do with it."
