Click the play button below to hear Shalise Manza Young's comments, recorded this morning. The topics: how the Patriots' defense turned around a poor start in San Francisco, Matt Cassel throwing the deep ball, Laurence Maroney hearing the criticism, and the San Diego Chargers playing to save their season.

Here's what Shalise said about this week's opponent, the Chargers:
"They're already starting to look [in San Diego] at Norv Turner -- is he not the coach they thought he was after last year, when he turned them around from that bad start that they had. But the AFC is wide open now. The Colts are not the Colts of years past. The Patriots obviously, because of Tom Brady's injury -- all the other pieces are there, but you don't know from week to week how Cassel is going to play. ... So San Diego, it's right there for them. They have LaDainian Tomlinson, who's still one of the best backs in the NFL. Phillip Rivers has developed into a good quarterback, and the defense, even without Shawne Merriman, is still one of the better defenses in the league. So I'm sure that they see that things are there for them if they want to start taking advantage, and they haven't yet."
