FOXBORO -- The third time was the charm for Jets kickoff returner Leon Washington.

After returning the opening kickoff 30 yards to his own 38, and then coming out of the end zone to the NY 36 on his second try, Washington went all the way on his third return of the night.

Taking the ball at the 8, he ran 92 yards for a touchdown without being touched by a single New England player. Kicker Stephen Gostkowski had the last chance to bring him down, but couldn't get a hand on him.

That's the first time an opponent has returned a kickoff for a TD against the Pats since the final game of last season, when the Giants' Domenick Hixon scored on a 74-yarder.

Buffalo's Leodis McKelvin almost ran one back in the final minutes Sunday, picking up 85 yards, to the N.E. 14, and setting up a late TD by the Bills.
