New England has announced that CB Terrence Wheatley has been placed on injured reserve, ending his rookie season. Wheatley injured his left wrist in the first half against the Colts on Nov. 2; he underwent surgery on Nov. 7 in Colorado to repair ligaments in the wrist. To take Wheatley's place, TE Tyson DeVree was promoted from the practice squad. Additionally, LB Darrell Robertson was signed to the practice squad. Robertson, an undrafted rookie, spent training camp with Dallas and also played two games with the Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL. CommentsLeave a comment |
