According to this entry in the Denver Post's University of Colorado sports blog, Patriots rookie Terrence Wheatley underwent surgery last Friday to repair ligaments in his left wrist. He was injured in the first half against Indianapolis on Nov. 2, breaking up a pass intended for Marvin Harrison; a couple of days later, described the moment of impact as the worst pain he'd ever felt. Wheatley was a two-time All-Big 12 cornerback at the University of Colorado and had his surgery at the Stedman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colo. The Post caught up with him when he popped into CU's Dal Ward Center. New England has not yet placed him on season-ending injured reserve. |
