MIAMI -- Although the Dolphins have won decisively at both New England (38-13) and AFC West-leading Denver (26-17), they struggled to win at home the past two weeks against 2-8 Seattle (21-19) and 2-8 Oakland (17-15, on a last-minute field goal.) They certainly know what's at stake this afternoon. "We've got a 'must-win' game," said running back Ronnie Brown, who was unstoppable in Miami's first game with the Pats, running for four touchdowns and throwing for another as the Dolphins unveiled their innovative "Wildcat" formation -- a variation on the old, Single Wing, where the ball is snapped directly to a running back. Motivation won't be a problem for Miami. Not, at least, for outspoken linebacker and sack specialist (he has a league-leading, 13-1/2), Joey Porter. "We don't like them, and they don't like us," he said of the Pats. "There's no love lost." |
