Here's a quick look at what has transpired, outside of upstate New York, on this eventful final day of the regular season.

-The Detroit Lions lost to the Green Bay Packers, 31-21, to become the first 0-16 team in NFL history. Click here to read more.

-The Minnesota Vikings beat the New York Giants, 20-19, in a game in which many Giants regulars saw limited action. The win clinched the NFC North for the Vikings.

-The Tampa Bay Buccaneers completed a remarkable late-season collapse by falling at home to the Oakland Raiders, 31-24. It was Tampa Bay's fourth straight loss and knocked the Bucs out of playoff contention. Click here to read more. The loss, combined with Chicago's loss at Houston, means that the winner of this afternoon's Cowboys-Eagles game in Philadelphia wins the number-six seed and a playoff game in Minnesota next week.

-The Carolina Panthers blew a big lead, but got a last-second field goal to defeat the New Orleans Saints, 33-31, to clinch the NFC South and preserve a first-round playoff bye. Click here to read more. Had the Panthers lost, Atlanta would have captured the division.
