OAKLAND -- Matt Cassel, playing despite his father's death earlier in the week, threw for four touchdowns as he led the Patriots to a 49-26 victory over the Raiders. Randy Moss caught a pair of touchdown passes in his return to Oakland and another ex-Raider, Lamont Jordan, ran for 97 yards, including a 49-yard breakaway for a touchdown. Sammy Morris led the Patriots in rushing with 117 yards. The win increased New England's record to 9-5 and enabled the Pats to remain in a three-way tie atop the AFC East. In addition, the Pats are now in a three-way tie with Baltimore and Miami for the final wild-card playoff berth. Much, much more to come over the course of the night. |
