The Patriots' secondary took another hit today, as New England placed veteran CB Jason Webster on season-ending injured reserve with an ankle injury.

Webster was only recently re-signed by the Patriots. The 31-year old was originally signed by New England in March, and was released among the final cuts at the end of the preseason -- he had struggled with an injury throughout training camp that kept him off the field.

There was no corresponding roster move announced, so the Pats are currently at 52 active roster players.
