SEATTLE -- With Bruschi hurt, the Patriots had to turn to 39-year-old Junior Seau, who was signed only Friday, after spending the fall surfing in San Diego. Not surprisingly, the Seahawks wasted no time going after Seau, as backup QB Seneca Wallace (playing in place of the injured Matt Hasselbeck) threw a 10-yard TD pass to rookie TE John Carlson, out of the University of Notre Dame, giving Seattle a 14-3 lead early in the second quarter. -- JIM DONALDSON |
