ESPN's Michael Smith is reporting that New England Patriots vice president of player personnel Scott Pioli has agreed to lead football operations for the Kansas City Chiefs, ending a successful nine-year tenure in New England. An unnamed team source told Smith that Pioli was seen packing up his belongings in Foxboro. The ESPN report says that Pioli's hiring will probably mean that Herman Edwards will lose his job as head coach.
