milloy0223.jpgFormer Patriots star Lawyer Milloy will apparently be looking for a new team next season, as the Atlanta Falcons have decided not to re-sign the veteran safety, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Milloy has played the last three seasons in Atlanta, and has started 48 of 49 games in his time with the team.

He played seven seasons and made two Super Bowl appearances with the Patriots after being drafted out of the University of Washington in 1996; he was released by the team just before the start of the 2003 season and ended up with the Buffalo Bills. It was a move that was widely criticized at the time, but the Patriots went on to win the next two Super Bowls while Milloy did not return to the playoffs until last season, when his Falcons won a wild-card berth in the NFC.

Don't expect a final reunion with Belichick and the Patriots. Milloy, 35, says he would like to end his career with the Seattle Seahawks playing under former Falcons coach Jim Mora.
