According to the Boston Globe, the Patriots have tendered restricted free agent LB Pierre Woods at the second-round level.
The fourth-year former undrafted player will receive a one-year, $1.45 million deal; if Woods were to accept an offer sheet from another team, New England would receive a second-round draft pick as compensation.
Woods became a starter on defense for the first time last year after Adalius Thomas suffered a season-ending arm injury; a few weeks later, his own season ended with a broken jaw against the Steelers.
