From today through Feb. 19, NFL teams can designate one franchise player. The New England Patriots are expected to slap that tag on quarterback Matt Cassel at some point and then look to trade him.
Mike Lombardi of The National Football Post says that if and when the Patriots deal Cassel, the return should be "a first round pick above 15 along with a second rounder.'' Read it here.
