FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- It won't take long for the New England Patriots to face T.O. in a Buffalo Bills uniform.

The NFL on Monday announced its prime-time matchups for the opening weekend of the 2000 season and the Patriots will host the Bills in a Monday night game on Sept. 14.

Buffalo recently signed Terrell Owens after the dangerous but mercurial receiver was cut by the Dallas Cowboys.

The game at Gillette Stadium will start at 7 p.m. and be part of a Monday night doubleheader featuring four original American Football League teams. The Oakland Raiders will host the San Diego Chargers in the second game.

The games are part of a 50th anniversary celebration of the AFL, which started with eight teams and eventually merged with the older league to create the modern NFL.
