Free-agent wide receiver Joey Galloway, a 14-year veteran, and quarterback Patrick Ramsey both visited Foxboro on Wednesday, according to Mike Reiss of The Boston Globe. Galloway, 37, played in just nine games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season, making 13 catches for 138 yards. In three previous years with Tampa Bay, however, Galloway exceeded 1,000 yards and 15 yards per catch each season. He could potentially fill the number-three receiver role vacated by Jabar Gaffney, who has signed with the Denver Broncos. Ramsey, 30, has been Jay Cutler's backup for the Broncos the past two seasons. He has seven years of NFL experience and was a starter at various points in three seasons with the Redskins, from 2002 to 2004. He has a career quarterback rating of 74.9, with 35 touchdowns, 30 interceptions and 6.5 yards per attempt. |
