Veteran wide receiver Joey Galloway has a one-year deal with the New England Patriots, according to the player's agent, Shawn Trell, who was quoted in The Boston Globe.
Galloway, 37, was released by Tampa Bay last month following a season in which he played only nine games because of broken bones in his foot. Before last season, he had more than 1,000 yards receiving in three straight campaigns.
In an e-mail to The Globe, Trell said that "The ankle injury suffered last year is behind him. The Patriots would not have made this move if they didn't believe the same." Trell also said that Galloway is excited at the chance to play with Tom Brady.
