The Patriots have announced that tight end Brad Listorti and offensive lineman Damane Duckett have been released.
Both were considered long shots to make the roster.
NFL teams are currently allowed to have 80 players under contract; since New England had 92 players on its roster, including the 12 unsigned draft picks, this could be a sign that either the Pats are nearing contracts with a couple of draftees, or that they are bringing aboard a free agent -- reportedly, LB Pisa Tinoisamoa visited Gillette Stadium today.
