The Patriots return to Gillette Stadium today for the first of three mandatory minicamp sessions. The big question is whether or not Vince Wilfork, the star nose tackle who is unhappy with his contract situation, will be there. Wilfork skipped all of the team's voluntary organized team activities in protest of the fact that has not been signed past this season.
But Wilfork was at the team's charity golf tournament this week, and both he and team owner Robert Kraft had conciliatory things to say. That, combined with the fact that Wilfork faces the possibility of a stiff fine if he does not report, has led some team observers -- including the Journal's Shalise Manza Young and The Globe's Christopher Gasper -- to guess that he will be there.
We'll let you know when we know.
