Bill Belichick was asked the obligatory Michael Vick question(s) today, and here's what he had to say:

"He's an outstanding player, he hasn't played in a couple of years, but our focus right now is on our players. He's a tremendous athlete."

Asked later if a free agent's past would factor into the Patriots' decision on whether or not to sign him, Belichick replied, "Every situation would be evaluated on its own merits."
