Earlier this month we cited an ESPN poll that rated the Patriots the second-most hated franchise in the NFL -- just a bit behind the perennially obnoxious Dallas Cowboys. But if they do end up landing Michael Vick (of course, we're not even sure if they are interested in him -- but they are among the minority of NFL teams that have not ruled out signing the newly reinstated quarterback), it might just put them over the top. That's because, according to Forbes magazine, Vick is the most disliked person in all of sports. Seven in 10 people polled by Forbes said they did not like Vick, who is just coming off an 18-month prison sentence for bankrolling a dog-fighting business. Former Red Sox slugger Manny Ramirez is number two on the list of most disliked, followed by the Yankees' Alex Rodriguez. Stephon Marbury, who ended last season with the Celtics, also makes an appearance on the top 10. It's interesting that Bill Belichick's former assistant, Nick Saban, is listed as being more hated than Belichick himself, and that people still feel passionately enough about John McEnroe to list him in the top 10: 1.
