The Boston Globe's Chris Gasper is reporting that New England has reached four-year contract agreements with WR Brandon Tate and QB/athlete Julian Edelman.
Tate was the first of the Pats' two third-round draft picks, while Edelman was one of two seventh-rounders.
The agent for OL Sebastian Vollmer confirmed to the Globe that the German-born lineman has agreed to a contract; that news was originally reported by weei.com's Chris Price.
This afternoon, the Patriots sent out a press release announcing that they had signed seventh-round DL Darryl Richard.
The signings leave five draft picks without a contract (for the moment) -- S Patrick Chung, DL Ron Brace, LB Tyrone McKenzie, OL George Bussey, and LS Jake Ingram.
