According to the Boston Globe's Chris Gasper, LB Shawn Crable and DE Ty Warren will begin training camp on the physically unable to perform list.

Citing a league source, Gasper writes that Crable, Warren, rookie OL Rich Ohrnberger, T Mark LeVoir and rookie DL Darryl Richard have been placed on active/PUP, meaning they will each be able to begin practicing as soon as the team feels they are ready.

This is different than reserve/PUP; placement on this list means the player cannot begin practicing until after Week 6.

Warren had double-groin surgery after last season, and did not participate in any of the team's on-field spring practices, so his placement on the list is not a surprise. Crable, however, did take part in the spring camps. He is expected to vie for reps at outside linebacker after missing all of his rookie season with a calf injury.

Also, rookie WR Brandon Tate, rehabbing a torn ACL suffered last fall when he was with the University of North Carolina, and rookie OL Jermail Porter have been placed on the non-football injury list.

A standout college wrestler, Porter is trying to make the transition to football.
