-Saints defensive end Charles Grant and tight end Jeremy Shockey say they are owed a half-million dollars by a movie studio at the center of an investment dispute involving current and former New Orleans players. A lawsuit accuses Louisiana Film Studios LLC studio CEO Wayne Read of selling $1.9 million in state movie tax credits to 27 people, many with connections to the Saints. However, it says he never applied for the credits or returned the money.
-Falcons wide receiver Roddy White is working out at the University of Alabama-Birmingham -- where he played college ball -- as he continued his contract holdout. White's agent had no comment when asked if the receiver was any closer to a deal with the Falcons.

-Albert Haynesworth was back on the field for the Washington Redskins today after missing two straight days with a knee problem. The 350-pound Haynesworth, whose new contract with the Redskins includes $41 million in guaranteed money, received a fluid injection in his left knee. Coach Jim Zorn expressed confidence that the knee would not impact Haynesworth during the regular season.
-Speaking of big men, the Detroit Lions welcomed 345-pound defensive tackle Grady Jackson to training camp for the first time today. Jackson, who started 14 games for the Falcons last season, had missed the first three days of camp with an unspecified illness. Brandon Pettigrew, the tight end selected by the Lions with the 20th overall pick in the April draft, missed his second straight practice with a thigh injury.
