Former soccer player Wes Welker has introduced Randy Moss to the benefits of soccer in terms of footwork, and the pair have been spotted dribbling a ball between them on several occasions. Now, apparently, they've gotten Tom Brady involved as well.
A blog post on the New England Revolution website from yesterday says Moss and Brady stopped by Revs practice for a bit:
The pair was heading up to the adjacent practice field for a late morning workout and Brady snagged a loose ball along the way, showing his dribbling skills and passing back and forth a bit with Moss. After a minute or two, the pair came over to the Revs session - which had just ended - and asked to take a few penalty kicks. Brady was up first with Moss in goal, and though he made solid contact and hit a rising shot, Moss stood tall and pushed the effort straight up into the air. Then Moss had his turn on Brady, but the Pats QB was up to the task and kicked away a low shot. Finally, Brady stepped up to take his chances against U.S. Under-20 goalkeeper Sean Johnson, who has been in training with the Revolution as a guest player this week. To Johnson's surprise, Brady took a long run up and drove his shot into the upper corner before celebrating and returning to his own workout.
