Among those released by the Kansas City Chiefs today was safety Bernard Pollard, who became famous last year for snapping the left knee of Tom Brady minutes into New England's opening game last year.
A 2006 second-round pick, Pollard started 31 of 32 games over the last two seasons.
Conspiracy theorists can wonder if former Pats personnel man Scott Pioli, now GM in Kansas City, got his revenge on Pollard for causing New England's lost 2008 season by handing him his walking papers.
