Website National Football Post today reports that New England had six players, including four receivers, in for workouts. The Pats have three of their four true receivers listed as questionable for Sunday's game -- Randy Moss (back), Wes Welker (knee) and Julian Edelman (ankle). According to NFP, the receivers the team brought in were former Titans WR Chris Davis, Anthony Armstrong, Courtney Taylor and William Franklin. They also tried out former Panthers kick returner Larry Beavers and former Oakland defensive tackle Terdell Sands. CommentsLeave a comment |

All teams bring players in throughout the season, so your reasoning is flawed. What's happening before our eyes is that Bill is trying to become the Harry Sinden of our time, with the exception being Harry could actually spot talent in his elder years.
I think it's time Bill retires from the GM role, and just focuses on being a head coach. Their drafting philosophy since 2004ish has focused on need instead of the best player available.
