Gee, what a surprise that Richard Seymour has shown up in Oakland to start earning his $3.865 million for this season.
I pose the same question I did Tuesday: What else was he going to do?
He really had no other viable option. If he didn't play, not only would he not have gotten paid, but he also would not have been a free agent after this season.
For him to remain a no-show would have been incredibly stupid, and Seymour most certainly is no fool.
All the turmoil surrounding his delayed arrival in the Bay Area has been amusing, but there never was much question that he'd report in time to collect his first game check.
