So it's fitting that Sunday's game at Invesco Field has been selected as one of the NFL "Legacy Games," in which each team will feature a throwback uniform. The Patriots will wear the road version of the 1963 uniform that the team sported opening night against Buffalo. The Broncos, meanwhile, will be wearing the oddest throwback uniform that you will see this season. Mustard yellow with brown numbers and pants, plus vertical brown-and-yellow stripes on the socks, they are very reminiscent of the old San Diego Padres uniforms of the 1970s and '80s. And the helmets -- brown with the player's uniform number in white -- aren't all that attractive either. CommentsLeave a comment |
I hate these damn throw-backs. I think they should have just thrown them away. This was a bad idea by the NFL; it's not nostalgic, it's just distracting.

I absolutely love throwback uniforms, how can you NOT? They pay homage to the legacy of the team and the league, and even if they are fugly (like this one!) they are an absolute hoot to see. Gives us a little perspective on how far uni's and logos have come.
Chill out JMC, there are bigger issues in life to get worked up over, don't you think?

Love the throwbacks, always have. It's gives the game a different look than what you're accustomed to.

I was surprised to see that my beloved BRONCOS are celebrating their 50th anniversary. The school I work at, Horace Mann Middle School in Colorado Springs, is also celebrating their 50th anniversary. We are planning a big party on Oct. 24.
Go BRONCOS!
