As part of their season-long celebration, the Hall at Patriot Place today unveiled "The AFL Turns 50", a special exhibit commemorating the golden anniversary of the old league.
Working with a collector who has loaned many of his artifacts to the Hall, the exhibit is called the most extensive collection of AFL memorabilia available for viewing anywhere.
Among the items on display are Joe Namath's jersey from Super Bowl III, game-worn uniforms from George Blanda, Jim Otto, Don Maynard and Otis Taylor, and a shirt and whistle from Hall of Fame coach Hank Stram.

Most surprising to me was that the silver-and-black the Raiders have become famous for was initially black-and-gold; there is a satin jacket on display proving such. Maybe gold face paint was harder to come by 50 years ago...
The quality of picture from my blackberry may not be great, but that's Maynard's jersey...
(Edited because I said the jersey is Namath's, not Maynard's...)
