DENVER -- Randy Moss, who has caught 872 career passes in the regular season (and another 42 in the postseason), made his first career interception at the end of the first half.
The Pats use Moss as a defensive back whenenver the opposition is going to throw a long pass toward the end zone as time is running out because he is 6-foot-4, has great hands, and can jump high. As a schoolboy in West Virginia, he was one of the best basketball players in the state, as well as a star in football. Going up after a "Hail Mary" pass is much like going up for a rebound in basketball.
The interception was the first thrown this season by Denver QB Kyle Orton, who had thrown 173 passes without a "pick," dating back to last year, when he was playing for the Bears.
