According to Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News as well as ProFootballTalk.com, the Patriots have released DE/OLB Tully Banta-Cain. Re-signed by the team this spring after spending the previous two seasons with San Francisco, Banta-Cain has three sacks and 14 tackles (9 solo) so far this season.
